1. We should recognize God doesn't provide redemption according to our patterns (v. 1:17)
2. We should remember God when He provides acts of redemption in our life (vv. 2:1-7)
3. We should render to God our thanksgiving for His acts of redemption for us (vv. 2:8-9)
4. We should reconsider before God our very lives as vessels to take His redemption to others (v. 2:10)

Spiritual Principle: God's act of redemption in our life is evidence of His expectation to use us for His work of redemption in others' lives.
